Hope

In New York I got to see Klimt’s painting “Hope”. To my uneducated eye his paintings usually make me think of illuminated manuscripts for some reason. In person it reminded me of a chapter I read in a book last summer:

Sometimes nothing can be done to change things, and hurt and anger must be transmuted: examples include the death of someone loved, permanent body damage like breast cancer, dissolution of a relationship. See what you can use from this “recipe”:

1. At your lowest point find something to create for yourself.
2. Consider your friends.
3. Take charge of your sorrow.
4. Remember the healing power of work you love and believe in.
